About the workshop

Want to make your own greeting cards with beautifully written message ?

Join me for 2.5 hours of  modern calligraphy using a pointed pen and ink.

Calligraphy is the perfect way to get yourself back into the present moment, away from mental chatter.  Calligraphy requires a deep focus and slow movements to place the right amount of pressure to obtain the thick and thin strokes forming each letters.

No calligraphy experience necessary for this workshop, you will learn everything to get you started on your calligraphy journey.

You will learn:

- how to prepare the nib and hold the pointed pen  and paper for comfort

- the basic strokes that form letters

- practise writing the alphabet (upper- and lower case)

- how to join letters to form words

- practise writing festive greetings & phrases before moving onto your final project writing your very own festive greeting card & gift tags

- learn how to make your own ink

All materials are provided (workbook, pointed pen, nib and ink, blank cards) which you will take home to continue practising your new skill. Coffee/Tea and a cake from The Old Barn is also included.

The workshop is suitable for complete beginners and it doesn't require neat handwriting or drawing skills.
